Welcome to headphile.com Welcome Forum Members!
Using quality materials and old school methods, I create works of art. Art that functions is always a bonus in my book, so I cover that end with worthy consideration in design.
How long will an order take to build... At times orders seem to come in sudden groups, thus actual total time can vary (and does). Purchases are built in order of payment received by me. At the time you place an order (with payment), you will go on my "build list" behind whomever has already secured their spot. Items paid for today, will typically take approx 8-12 weeks for build completion and a shipping notice from me. I will only accept cancellation of an order within 3 days of time purchase for full refund. Beyond 3 days, I will only issue a credit towards another product of mine (except most headphone deals items) and there will be absolutely no refunding after the initial 3 day window.
Status of orders will be listed on home page, thus do not email me for status
please :-) Thanks...
Order Status...
Orders paid on or before...
May 10, 2008 will ship on or around July
16, 2008 (watch for slight adjustments as shipping date nears). I will update the dates
as build groups are finished and shipping notices given. If you paid for an order after the above (first) date, please do not email for status! Let the man do his
magic (me), and I will give you a shout when your order is completed and
shipping. This system is working good, thanks :-)
Headphone
Deals page. This is the place to find custom headphile creations, headphones, amps, etc. Snooze you lose… Some of the worlds finest headphones appear on deals page.
I suspect it has been around forty years ago now, that I was introduced to working with wood. I remember working on Mahogany hydroplanes… We towed those behind our bikes on a string! By the time I was a young teen in early mid 70's, I was building large speakers for my quadraphonic rig. My Dad built boats in our garage at times in the 60-70's, wood framed and trimmed. I saw firsthand what one could do if they planned, experimented, imagined then did…
Back then things were a bit different. You did more by hand and used your eye and imagination. Files, rasps, planes, sanding blocks, etc. But there was one machine that I considered special back then and used often… my Dad's old band saw. I used that machine for all those projects back in the day and many more. Now it resides in my shop all these years later to help create headphile art. I like making mojo, which that machine definitely is still giving.
Thirty years ago my ears told me to get a guitar, so I could make those tones that I grooved so much. You can really develop an ear for tone, especially when you're a tone lover. Headphile is a way for me to combine many aspects of my life times into one. While my oil painting past doesn't directly get used in headphile art yet, I have used some etching here and there… which uses drawing, another long time hobby. I inject all these things into what I do here, with great results IMO and many along the way :-) 6MOONS has review up of three of my modded cans. Totally out of date, since all these products have totally changed in construction and sound! Still a fun read...
Purchasing or Questions? Read FAQ first! Terms of purchase are there, which will be adhered to upon any purchase (whether you read them or not). Also many time saving answers there...
Proper care of your cables on this page.
Shipping page has various drop down menu flat fees. Choose which applies closest to your order please. Headphone Deals page has it's own shipping rules.
TRADE? Have something you want to trade for an item? Email what you have and want and we'll see if an agreement can be made. I seriously consider Joe Grado headphones, including SR100, SR200, SR300, HP1000, and vintage Gibson guitars. Other stuff, considerably less likely.

Please don't copy any of my creations for profit. I ask that you please show some respect for the one that basically blazed the trail of headphone modding. Building something similar for your own use is fine, but please don't give directions or pictures of the process. Create something unique you can be proud of, there are many things I don't do that you could using some imagination.
I gladly support the forum (as a sponsor) that I, and many of you use for information. Unfortunately there are those that bypass the financial support of said forum through PM sales and worse yet, they clone. They basically steal from both of us by doing so… bad karma... It's not ethical nor cool to step on toes to make a buck. Thanks for your support :-)
Thanks for visiting, Larry
