Headphone stands are designed to be very functional for storing headphones. Pads don't compress against anything, headphones can be slipped on when dual entry cabled (instead of loaded from top). Sturdy with a smallish foot print for fitting in tighter desk space. I'll match the wood if purchasing a woody headphone at the same time too. A headphone stand shouldn't look like a trophy without the topper, but rather a compliment to the star of the show… your headphones. I could build them super fancy, but that's a tacky recipe IMO… It's all about the package look and function overall...

Hanger bar can be fitted with black lambskin around it (brown available also on request) which I recommend for wear.  Wood end caps can be substituted with Grado black caps (black Grado caps come standard with black and natural fir/pine stands). Felt feet are attached or included (unless I forget).

Quad stands are now available in some woods (see drop down menus). See this new configuration in  bottom right pictures. Long bar is 20" across on those...

The black riser/hangers are black lacquer coated heavy wall PVC. They will sometimes need to be adjusted straight up after shipping. Put on floor and push down above joint. This will usually straighten them out, you may need to fine tune. I sometimes use adhesive putty in the seating area, mostly not. If need be, you can add that or glue the riser in place if you feel the need to (you won't).

Wood Identification Pics In case you don't know which is which...

Black stands are spray painted fir/pine, don't expect a piano finish please, though it is nice.
