Headphile Black Velour Pads

Seems my Black Velour Pads are very desirable for fitting onto K271. My process apparently changes the molecular structure of the foam (and material) which some find sound enhancing. I saw a German forum where a dozen or so different pads were tested on K271, and mine came out #1 (google it). Just incidental, I wasn't planning this for K271...

The cost may seem high for a pair, but... a pair of silver pads direct from Beyer is around $32+ shipped. Add on my process and materials, keeping inventory, plus about 6 hours of my time and it may make more sense. I may limit these at any time, currently available...

K-340 Woody

If wood options are desired, there are a few guidelines I ask you to follow. If selecting a wood option, please inform me of your wood choice in comments box at checkout. Use Deluxe pricing for the following wood choices… Cocobolo, Ebony, Koa, Purple Heart. Woody sides can be purchased on their own, for DIY install with your own adhesion method for the prices listed.

K-340 Standard Mods Included in Main Pricing

If you have a stock K-340, the elastic adjusters are probably near useless. I either replace those with more beefy elastic or adjust your current elastics if I deem them worthy. I change the single entry cable to dual entry. To do this correct, a new clamp must be made along with a slot for the cable on the right cover (which I do both of). I recable via a sort of bypass path directly to the bass driver. This bypasses one set of internal wires, solder joints, PCB traces and in general sounds better. I change the front plastic screens to sound transparent fabric (shown below), which allows the sound waves to go to your ears rather than bounce around in a plastic mesh. You can see in the pic below this mod how open the drivers become to your ears (shown pre cloth treatment). I change the internal damping to complete the mod.
I do one VERY important driver tweak that no one else does, nor knows about :-)

Occasionally I offer a complete modded pair on Headphone Deals page (if they aren't there, I have none for sale at that time). Pictured below with optional HD-XLR (additional over normal black XLR).
