I've redesigned my Grado woodies for the HF-1 (and all models) for fitting to those lucky enough to own HF-1's. As you probably know, the HF-1 is a limited edition headphone that seems to have been made to mod.
With HF-1's drivers mounted in wood, replacing the stock shallow depth plastic with a deeper depth wood cup is rather nice in both sound and looks. I am very impressed with both modded!
For the recabling, the same soft sleeving is used and configuration as Senn V2 cables, only wired direct to the drivers. Some other internal tweaks are included.
I will need to modify (shorten) your forks (as seen in pics) so the woodies will fit. The extended part that I modify has no purpose other than styling.
I don't offer woodies separately nor am I currently offering recable only on HF-1's. Screens can be done in black, or any of the translucent colors on request (shown below on Cherry woodies) and the screens will be "stealth" to where you can't see in them (pic below). This not only helps keep dust, hairs and the like out, but looks nice when photographed and is sound transparent.
GRADO Locking Adjusting Rods… Adjust them tight like the old HP1000's to lock the rods from moving up and down and that never ending Grado cable tangling and annoying swiveling. Can be finger adjusted easily. Available now...

Headband Pad Replacement
Leather (lambskin) replacement headbands (pads). Currently available in black, chocolate brown and navy blue. Two widths are available, two inch, and three inch (not shown). I'm using padding in all of them so they are comfy and lambskin is a soft leather also. I use a different stitching than Grado, theirs is straight stitch while I'm using an edge zigzag stitch with industrial thread. While I wouldn't call them perfect, I've sewed enough of them that I think they are of worthy quality and significantly nicer than the stock vinyl/plastic for those that prefer leather.
I only offer these to be installed by me at this time, when a Grado full woody mod is purchased.
