Introducing the BlackMax cable. This is probably the best bang for the buck I offer. It's a cross between BlackCoral and BlackGold, leaning more towards the latter. Uses both fine 99.99% silver and copper magnet wire for the signal (not silver plated copper), and the BlackCoral ground return. Left and right runs are kept as separate cables (when applicable).
For sleeving I've decided on the softer, more flexible, less microphonic and durable headphone sleeving. Any RCA termination cables are the ones used in the pics. I've switched to these cables in my personal system.
For headphone cables, a 6" portion of BlackGold sleeving is used near the plug to distinguish BlackMax. While it would certainly be gorgeous to use this for the whole cable, that would make it stiffer and microphonic, cost more while being less durable, not the greatest idea IMO.
If you like the speed and neutrality of silver, with a touch of the warmth of copper added in, you'll probably like these as much as I do. Still when it comes down to it, they are like BlackGold with training wheels...
These will also be available up to 2.0 meters as a headphone cable upgrade, on most any headphone recable or aftermarket headphone cable. Priced in addition to normal cable price on applicable pages.
